The Weekly A Word

The Weekly A Word is a blog to raise awareness of autoimmune diseases.

I am 60, married and living in Surrey with my husband, Jamie.   We have 3 girls and, so far, 2 grandchildren.  I write The Weekly A Word to share my experience living with 3 autoimmune conditions: ankylosing spondylitis, ulcerative colitis, and Raynaud’s.  Every week I provide tips that help me to live my best life.  My blog also covers current affairs and delves into my City of London career to share many of the life lessons I experienced that may be helpful to others.

My background is in technology sales.  I worked for leading technology companies, mostly selling into the financial services sector.  Latterly I worked in Sales Management, responsible for leading sales teams to achieve targets of over $100M.  Before founding our search and recruitment business in 2008, my last challenge was to design and implement a sales process to facilitate the merger of three separate acquired organisations to ensure their continued success.
